Energy Specialist Apprenticeship Program: This is a three-year program combined with industry-level practical and theory upon completion will obtain skills credential. Also, you will earn as you participate in on-the-job training with progressively increasing wages.
Communications/Public Relations Specialist Apprenticeship Program: This is a three-year program combined with industry-level practical and theory upon completion will obtain skills credential. Also, you will earn as you participate in on-the-job training with progressively increasing wages.

Certified Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program
bringing you the world of clean renewable energy options and sustainability practices.
In 2010, DW Green Institute Inc, Green School established a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We have expanded our programs to offer industry-level training, international clean, renewable energy educational programs, career opportunities, and school-based programs within the Green Workforce for students for a 100+ students per year.
DW Green Institute Inc., Green School, puts our clients' needs first. We have repeat customers, referrals, and individuals who wish to enhance their work portfolio. Since our inception in 2007, DW Green Institute Inc., Green School has worked with many students throughout the Greater Washington Metropolitan area. Our first academic year, we escorted students on nine field trips, exposing them to alternative energy sources, biomass research, conservation practices, and supercomputer laboratory technology.
In November of 2008, we had the opportunity of running a television ad designed to promote education in the areas of energy and the environment. The ad aired on major networks; MSNBC, CNN, BET, FOX NEWS, and Comedy Central. The 30-second spot featured our students who helped with the commercial's production and aired on a pivotal night - Election Night 2009. The ad was well-received, and we are excited about the "buzz" it started for our program.
DW Green Institute Inc., Green School, brings students to the world of environmental practices, alternative energy resources, the scientific community, and various areas within engineering and the arena of media art production. Our media art production program is a catalyst to educate our highly acclaimed PBS Green Education 101 television series. Our customized training programs can offer a curriculum designed from eight weeks to one and two years. Also, special energy summer camps are available.
DW Green Institute Inc., Green School, exposes students to the sciences to enhance their awareness and enlighten them on career alternatives and higher education options. The need for this type of education is excellent in the United States. Our country needs youth to pursue vocations in science, engineering, environmental, and media studies.
For example, reports state that 60% of the scientific workforce from Oak Ridge National Laboratory (US Department of Energy), along with 4,500 employees from UT-Battelle (University of Tennessee and Battelle, a research and development organization founded in 1929), will be retiring within the next ten years. Statistics such as these highlight the need for environmental programs aimed at young people, such as those of the DW Green Institute Inc., Green School.
The report is dated 2009. Many of the scientists have since retired. The need is urgent, and diversity is essential to success!
